“Wiñay Wayna”
Wiñay Wayna (2650 m) (Quechua for “forever young”, Hispanicized spelling Huiñay Huayna) is an Inca ruin just along the way from Machu Picchu. It overlooks the Urubamba River. The site consists of upper and lower complexes connected by a staircase and a fountain, with terraces above and below which were used for agriculture.
