Machhapuchhare, also known as the Fishtail mountain – is a holy mountain to the people of Nepal. It is said to have been the abode of ‘Shiva’ before he made the move to Mount Kailash, in Tibet. Still, it is not permitted to climb Machhapuchhare although several have tried. But there is no summit as such anyway that mountaineers could actually top. This shot was taken from Poon hill, very early in the morning as the sun rose above the fishtail.
